This data set (2023-2-17_SENSO360.xlsx) was created by a comparative study for between two concepts for either a virtual and an actual version of field trip with digital game-based learning approaches (the SENSO-Trail (AFT) and the SENSO-Trail360(VFT)) The research was part of the LOEWE project Natur4.0 - Sensing Biodiversity. Students from class 9 to 12 of Hessian Gymnasiums (German high school) participated between 2021 and 2022 in the study in pre-post design. In a cleaned dataset, a total of 110 subjects could be analysed by their provided data, n = 44 participated in the virtual version and n = 66 in the actual field trip. The data set was used to analyse differences in the acquired subject-specific knowledge between both groups. Further potential changes of attitudes within the VFT where investigated and also tested for gender differences. The data was exclusively retrieved via pseudonymised paper- and pencil-style questionnaires at all times of enquiry. The data set contains coded anonymous information about the participants biographic, affective and cognitive attributes.
