Repository overview

This subset of the repository contains the Western blot data of the study. The original data comes from mscn-files that were opened using Image Lab which is not in an open free format. Therefore the membrane images were exported as tif-files and the associated metadata was exported as a xml file. The subset contains several replicates of the different experiments and specificity controls conducted with purified proteins, and cell culture media. Furthermore, it contains the Western blot conducted after immune precipitation of cell lysates.

Experiments were conducted with two cell types, ARPE-19 (adult retinal pigment epithelial cell line) and induced pluripotent stem cell-derived RPE (iPSC-RPE) cells. ARPE-19 and iPSC-RPE cells were each grouped into four condition categories:

• Immature: Cells with an immature, RPE-unspecific phenotype
• Mature: Cells with a mature, RPE-specific phenotype
• Treated: Cells that were treated with 10 ng/mL TGF-Beta1
• Control: Untreated cells

This subsets includes three folders:

• Immature_vs_mature.zip: The Western blot data of immature and mature ARPE-19 and iPSC-RPE cell lysates.
• Treatment.zip: The Western blot data of treated and control ARPE-19 and iPSC-RPE cell lysates.
• Specificity_controls.zip: The Western blot data of control experiments conducted with purified proteins and cell culture media.
